Hi! I'm Hidie Mae, I am a girl who is observant, optimistic, and goal digger. I'm living my 22 years of existence to the fullest because I believe in YOLO (You Only Live Once).

Having a loving family molds me to become the person who I am today. We are a family of four, I have the most caring mother who always checks on me whenever I look sad or sick. A hardworking father who works 24/7 just to provide our needs. Kind-hearted and generous brother who always helps me with my boy problems (kidding aside), and me the pretty daughter. I grew up believing my parents were overly strict, now as I mature I've realized everything they've done was for my own good.
Life was good not until my father died when I was 18, it was sudden and unpredictable. My first heartbreak that I believe shattered my whole life. It hurts, however I realized that life is short so we must treasure every person and moment. After what happened, my mom and I were left in our house everyday because my brother was the one who took the role of my Papa.
On the other hand, I strive hard in my studies and spend time becoming better for myself. The four years of my college journey was indeed amazing, I learned a lot, made friends, and built my career. I graduated last July 2025 and hold a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English at Kolehiyo ng Pantukan.
I may not have graduated as one of the "laude" but I'm proud to say I received an award as "Best in Action Research" together with my team.
A lot of people asked why I choose to become a teacher, my response will always be like this "I love teaching and helping students learn." There's something inside me that melts down knowing I helped someone learn and achieve things. As we all know teaching is the noblest profession it explains how great it is to become a teacher. During my internship, I witnessed and experienced the hardships of a teacher thus it motivated me to do more.
The truth is I'm now in the midst of pursuing my career, luckily I got an afternoon slot from FTRC Tagum Branch where I choose to enroll to prepare for the upcoming Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). I know this will not be easy however I will do my best with prayers.
These are my favorite favorite people who lift me up when I'm down and celebrate together for my success. My friends are in my safe space during gloomy days especially when I was in college. They became my crying shoulder, they're not my sisters by blood but sisters in heart. I am so lucky to have them and I hope you find your genuine friends too. Other than them I also have my dogs and cats as my bundle of joy. They are so sweet and loving. It is really true that a pet is a stress reliever a breath of fresh air from the toxic world.
On the other hand, I am still striving for the best version of myself. More focus on things that can help me improve physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
I'll use hideey.writes as my pen name in this platform. I am now excited to share my insights, realizations and stories to you all. This is the start of engaging myself into the beauty of writing. I'm just starting, open for mistakes and corrections. This is me rooting for a fine version of myself through Hive blogging and improving my writing skills and perceptions.
I am onboarded by my friend @antonette and @chinito whom I meet in facebook. I am beyond grateful to for introducing and orienting me about how hive works as a platform where I can share my ideas and freely express my feelings.
I am fully aware that in this community we should not use AI for hive posting and engagement. Using any grammatical corrector like grammarly app are prohibited and always use our own pictures and ideas to avoid plagiarism. I make sure that all the photos used are mine and enhanced by Canva.
