The long wait is over! So nice to have been approved at last and be part of this growing community.
For my starter post, of course, I would like you to know me well.
I am Jerica Mae San Pedro Calara before, but now, I am Jerica Mae Calara Go since I married the love of my life. Yes, you've read it right, tied the knot at the age of 19.
Here's the thing. Growing up, I am just like an ordinary innocent kid who wants to play all day long, non-stop, mastered the game "patintero", makes a crown out of santan flower, believes that when you shout out loud to Santa Claus what you want to receive on Christmas, you will have it once you have hanged your socks on your door. I am born on May 24, 1995, Year of the Pig (I am pig literally, kidding) at Malolos, Bulacan. Been spoiled for quite sometime because I am the first born which also makes me the first grandchildren on the side of my father.
After me comes out my sister, Jonina and our bunso, Jolo..
Here's the exciting part or should I say the twist of my life.
I've said a while ago, I married at the age of 19. I know most of you will know why it happened too soon and for those who not, yes, I got pregnant. During that time, I was in my 3rd year college, eventually I need to stop going to school. My dad in New York did not want to talk to me because of what happened. My mom did nothing but to cry. The moment my family knew about it, they were all disappointed of me as much as I am disappointed of myself.
Months passed, January 13 of 2015, I gave birth to a healthy baby boy and named him Alexander. When I saw my son, I told myself that whatever happens in my life now, I can endure it, I can handle it, by all means.
My Xander brought so much joy not just to me and his dad but also to the both side. The pain that my husband and I caused to our respective parents, removed by the smiles and giggles of our little one. Truly he's a blessing.
June 2015, I had my comeback to my studies. Very lucky enough that my parents never gave up on me and had me a second chance at life.
Being a student and a mother is not a very good tandem. Sometimes I think of giving up because it's really tiring. It will drain you emotionally, physically and financially. Why did i say financially if my parents are supporting me? Yes they were supporting me of my tuition fee only. At that time, my husband only had a job then, my course was expensive, I was ashamed to ask for my parents, so I really need to budget well the money that my husband gives me. It so frustrating when I need to buy milk for our son and at the same time I have to pay for school needs. But, I would like to commend my husband, Alec, supports me all through out the way and been a good provider to our son since day 1.
However, my college days were not only full of dramas, I thank our Lord for Candice and Joymie, real friends who made math problems bearable to understand, walk with me on the corridor of our building like we were a models on a fashion show, through ups and down, thick to thin, full of laughter-kind-of-journey :D

and at last..
June 14, 2017, the day the Lord has made.
All the hardships, sleepless nights paid off! Wohoo! Through my determination, eagerness, and perseverance and with the help of our Lord, I am now a degree holder of Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication Major in Broadcasting.
Now, I am a Home-based Administration Analyst of an Australian Company and very fulfilled. :) (I'll blog my working home-based experience soon and give you some opportunities as well because sharing si caring hehe)
I would like to end my post by saying this.. all that comes into our lives, whether good or bad, serve its purpose, God has given all the trials, so that you may be able to reach where you are today.
