Like you, I am not a fan of these upvote bots... But just today I have set up minnowbooster to make my vote available for purchase and this post was my very first ever vote-sale.
I was a bit anxious about seeing my vote go to some low quality post, forcing me to cancel the vote... but alas, I'm positively surprised to see it go to a an elaborate and honest post like this one.
