Absolutely loved reading this! New Zealand is my favorite place in the world... and Fiordland is my favorite place in New Zealand :) I remember driving through the long tunnel to get there and then emerging in this large mountainous bowl (for lack of a better description) The clouds were so low that it felt like we were indoors... the mountains all around us just jutted up and disappeared into the clouds... the moisture/rain cascaded gently down the mountain slopes giving the sensation that the entire mountain was a single, slow-moving waterfall... oh the memories... Welcome to the community! I'm definitely going to follow and upvote... Cheers!

Ah, Homer Tunnel! I was surprised to learn it was dug by hand with pickaxes and dynamite during the depression as a government labour initiative.
