Hola a todos, me presento, mi nombre es Juan Infante, soy Venezolano, nacido en Maracaibo – Estado Zulia, desde pequeño me intereso mucho la literatura y los libros que decoraban cada rincón de mi casa me inspiraron siempre un aire de confort en la lectura, mi madre al ser graduada en filosofía dedicándose a la educación y mi padre profesor de matemáticas, tenían nuestra casa plagada de libros y esta maravillosa biblioteca era hogar de libros muy diversos; desde el álgebra de Baldor hasta La Republica de Platón, una curiosidad inmensa nutrida por un afán de las historias que mi madre me contaba para intentar que me durmiera hicieron pronto de mi un ávido lector de todo lo que encontrase, las ciencias también me despertaban un profundo interés y la historia de esta me llamo desde pequeño, Pasteur y sus descubrimientos hicieron una mella en mí que aun hoy recuerdo con ternura en especial su frase de > "La ciencia no conoce ningún país, porque el conocimiento pertenece a la humanidad, y es la antorcha que ilumina el mundo".
Hello everyone, I introduce myself, my name is Juan Infante, I am Venezuelan, born in Maracaibo - Zulia, since I was little I was very interested in literature and the books that decorated every corner of my house always inspired an air of comfort in reading. My mother, having graduated in philosophy dedicating herself to education and my father, a teacher of mathematics, had our house full of books and this wonderful library was home to many different books; From Baldor's algebra to Plato's Republic, an immense curiosity nourished by an eagerness for the stories that my mother told me to try to get me to sleep, soon made me an avid reader of everything I found, the sciences also woke in me a deep interest and the history of this called me from a young age, Pasteur and his discoveries made a dent in me that even today I remember with tenderness especially his phrase > "Science knows no country, because knowledge belongs to humanity, and it is the torch that illuminates the world ”.
Siempre he sido algo testarudo, y de un carácter algo fuerte, pero muy curioso, y gracias a esta curiosidad he aprendido sobre todo que siempre debemos tener en nosotros un lugar para la reflexión de nuestros puntos de vista y acciones, que nuestros fracasos nos brindan en ellos las lecciones para el éxito, mi inclinación temprana a las ciencias y una buena recepción e incentivos por parte de mis padres (mi madre por ejemplo me regalo un juego de química con un microscopio cuando tenía 9 años), hicieron que creciese aún más esa curiosidad por saber y entender, afortunadamente a medida que se aprende ¡surgen muchas más preguntas!. También he tenido siempre gran fascinación con la literatura no técnica ni científica y de ellas aprendí las maravillas del arte poético y en prosa, amante de las obras de Gabriel García Márquez, J.R.R. Tolkien, Mark Twain, Stephen King y George R.R. Martin, pudiéramos decir que llevo a cuestas una biblioteca, hahaha.
I have always been somewhat stubborn, and of a somewhat strong character, but very curious, and thanks to this curiosity I have learned above all that we must always have in ourselves a place for the reflection of our points of view and actions, that our failures provide us in them the lessons for success, my early inclination to science and a good reception and incentives from my parents (my mother for example gave me a chemistry set with a microscope when I was 9 years old), made me grow even more curious to know and understand, fortunately as you learn, many more questions arise! I have also always had a great fascination with non-technical or scientific literature and from them I learned the wonders of poetic and prose art, lover of the works of Gabriel García Márquez, J.R.R. Tolkien, Mark Twain, Stephen King, and George R.R. Martin, we could say that I carry a library within my mind, hahaha.
I studied Computer Science at the University of Zulia, for reasons of social problems and various events concerning the great crisis that Venezuela is currently suffering, I decided to move to the neighboring country of Colombia, of course with the pain of the farewell for my parents and my Younger brother, I left to look for better opportunities and today I am working as a programmer and technology manager in a small company in the city of Cali, Colombia. The truth is that in this short summary I can only give you a few glimpses of what the journey has been like, but in truth I hope in time to be able to share much more about all the experiences not only of migration but also those that I lived in my native country , in which I was greatly nourished by many anecdotes, some good and pleasant, others not so much, but I keep them all as life lessons, as events necessary for the modeling of the being that I am today, grateful for life and everything that it offers us, maintaining the maxim that critical observation and knowledge of our past can help us achieve a better future, learning from the best that those who came before us can teach us, we will create a better future for those who will succeed us.
Estudie Ciencias de la Computación en La Universidad del Zulia, por razones de problemáticas sociales y diversos acontecimientos concernientes a la gran crisis que sufre Venezuela actualmente, decidí mudarme al vecino país Colombia, por supuesto con el dolor de la despedida de mis padres y mi hermano menor, partí para buscar mejores oportunidades y hoy me encuentro trabajando como programador y manejador de tecnologías en una pequeña empresa en la ciudad de Cali, Colombia. La verdad es que en este pequeño resumen solo puedo darles algunos vistazos de cómo ha sido el camino, pero en verdad espero con el tiempo poder compartirles mucho más sobre todas las experiencias no solo las de la migración pero también las que viví en mi natal país, en el cual me nutrí enormemente de muchas anécdotas, algunas buenas y placenteras, otras no tanto, pero todas las guardo como lecciones de vida, como sucesos necesarios para el modelado del ser que soy hoy en día, agradecido de la vida y de todo lo que ella nos ofrece, manteniendo la máxima de que la observación crítica y el conocimiento de nuestro pasado puede ayudarnos a conseguir un mejor futuro, aprendiendo de lo mejor que nos ofrecen quienes vinieron antes que nosotros podremos crear un mejor porvenir para quienes nos sucederán.
