INTRODUCTION
This still feels unreal, I'm sharing my first Hive post. It started with a mentor-mentee chat about a Web3 platform that pays it's users in crypto for expressing themselves (I'm the mentor, by the way). I've heard of people getting paid for so many kind of actions but what still feels new and almost unreal is being paid for being yourself in writing and in crypto.
The chat with my mentee has opened my eyes to exploring a whole new phase I've been so curious about.

Hopefully, you can tell by now that I'm not a novice in writing. Before Hive, there was nairaland, reddit and a few other platforms I've spent time on but I must say, the decentralization story about Hive gives me a unique sensation of Web3 and piques my interest more to what I'll find on my journey here.
I've found one more right place to be and I'm here to learn as much as I can into the Web3 space.
Maybe you've asked already, who is this new user that's interested in Hive?

Hi, I'm Juwon Eleniyan. A simple guy who loves to crack jokes, spend quality time alone, and if I do reach out, it's also for a purposeful reason, I love learning new things, watching movies, online reading, telling stories and writing them as well.
I am a fresh graduate and a serving corp member, almost at the finish line of my youth service, In Osun State, Hive feels like the perfect place for me to be at the moment, especially at this injury time, where most people ask the popular question, what next after NYSC?
As for me, I'll say, focusing on self development and working my 9-5 job at Palmpay LTD. Speaking on self development, joining HIVE is part of my self development, a place where I can gracefully express myself and share my beautiful, ugly and sincere thoughts to the world.

What brings about this persona, my journey to becoming a writer and a storyteller is a natural connection for me, I have felt this connection since childhood, it's a way of life, it's how I express my deepest and most inner soul, writing and telling stories has been a gift from the heavens, telling stories with words that embodies something great, unique and giving my stories true meaning is what defines my persona.
When my friend told me about HIVE, I felt it's a place I belonged to because I possess these qualities;
- Expression of unique ideas, thoughts, and random inspirations.
- Making research and giving a diverse perception to something.
- Never running out of content, to me the world is filled with infinite contents.
- Charming my way out of any situation.

I particularly enjoyed the process in finding my footing as a newbie because I have a good guide (thank you, @merit.ahama). I know there's more to learn, I mean, I'm a newbie. So I welcome any assistance to help me grow while I'm on this journey with you all.
Stay tuned there is more to come.
Juwon, I really enjoyed how you tied your first Hive post back to that mentor-mentee conversation about getting paid for expressing yourself — that’s such a genuine way to arrive here. I also liked the mix of your background as a fresh graduate, your NYSC journey in Osun State, and the fact that you’re already thinking about self-development and what comes after service. Since you already enjoy writing and exploring Web3, you might find hivestats.io useful to track your account growth as you get started, and @leo.voter can be a nice boost if you keep sharing thoughtful posts like this. What kind of stories do you feel most excited to write and share on Hive first?

Hi Juwon, welcome to Hive!
Thanks
Hi @juwoneleniyan welcome to Hive. I'm @palomap3 from Lovesniper OCD team.
You certainly have a talent for writing and a contagious sense of humour. I found myself laughing several times whilst reading your introduction! Facing adult life after the NYSC can be a bit daunting, but you’ll do fine.
I hope your transition from mentor to student goes smoothly, hehe. I’m sure @merit.ahama will guide you as you get started here. She’s a very experienced Hiver and will give you some great advice. For my part, I invite you to explore the communities I’ve linked below. Enjoy this new journey you’re embarking on.
