make a comment.
follow everyone that makes a comment
you can also resteem this post (your followers will see it and they will help the others and so on and so on)
if 100 participates you will most likely get 90 new followers and your next posts will have more viewers.

The best way I have found to gain followers is to not chase it--otherwise it'll run away from you. I don't ever ask anybody to follow me. I simply try to be as consistently active on here as possible, and post relevant comments on people's posts. So far its worked for me :)
