You seemed to have a thirst for pretty much everything you are capable to grasp it, and that's a very positive view in life. Kudos to that!
I personally know someone I care very much is in the Special Forces before, and he too, (not really) pursuit in teaching while training the new recruits during bootcamp. As you learn more about the skills of teaching, this will definitely be very useful just like how your father trains and teaches.
Comando in Malaysia is one of the toughest bad a** career, I believe they were trained by / through the Green Berets and this is pretty much equivalent to the Special Forces Army division. Salute to your dad. That's one heck of a tough job!
