My name is Ashlie. I am a Registered Dietitian working out of Louisiana with a passion for nutrition, travel, and a wide assortment of hobbies. I am married to @bournadventure and have a rather large fur baby. Keira, our 110 pound, five year old Akbash mix, spends most of her days training to be a door mat. She is multi talented and proficient in the following: laying in doorways, stepping on feet, knocking over small children, and sleeping. In her spare time she works as a Therapy dog, visiting nursing homes, hospitals, hospice facilities, and other places where she can best utilize her skills.
My husband and I love to travel. There is so much to see in this world and you only have one life, so YOLO! We began by exploring the US, but have begun making plans to start traveling overseas. We have currently explored all of the lower 48 states twice and hope to make it a third time soon. We created a travel website and store, BournAdventureGear.com, to document our travels, inspire others, and sell a few stickers in the process.
My entire childhood was a lie. Dairy was not the gift of God and the cure to our health crisis, but the exact opposite? Osteoporosis wasn't cured by milk, but caused by it? Meat was linked to cancer? The deeper I delved the more shocked I became. What was most unsettling was that this was not new information. There was an abundance of scientific evidenced supporting the exclusion of animal products to be the miracles we are all looking for and I had no clue. Where was this wealth of knowledge in college? What had I been teaching those sick patients? I spent the four years of my undergrad absorbing information and regurgitating it, like a good little college student. It was only during my dietetic internship that I began to pick my head up and look around. Every day, I would recite the same literature to sick people. Literally the same information, over and over. The patients would stare at you with glassy eyes, then be released to go home and continue to eat the same foods that led them to the hospital bed in the first place. After a year of this with nothing to show for it but my own 10 pound weight gain, I turned to research. My own research for once. I was not relying on approved text books and government pamphlets. I began looking at scientific studies, which lead me to The China Study and other evidenced based research. I was blown away. It has been irrefutably proven that eating a diet with no animal products and rich with plant based foods, can reverse heart disease and prevent/slow cancer progression. And thus, my obsession with the whole food, plant based world ensued.
I have a plethora of hobbies which include some of the following:
Piano
Knitting and Crochet
Sketching
Gaming (WoW, Oblivion, etc)
Playing Magic the Gathering
Motorcycling
Traveling
Cooking
Being a Nerd
And many many more. I love to share my enthusiasm for all of my various past times through blogs and how-to’s.
I want to share my adventures, share valuable health information that can prevent cancer, reverse heart disease, and increase a healthy life, tips from hobbies, and to learn from other Steemers. I hope to bring new insights, knowledge, and perspectives with every post.

I am okafor ikechukwu but on steemit would be addressed as @CIOCOLONY, a male and am above half a golden jubilee.
I am from Nigeria and live in Lagos. I Was born into a family of (5) five being the only boy of the family, growing up was challenging, living my whole life around lady, never had any brother I could play with.
Just recently finished from federal university of technology, Akure Ondo state, where I studied estate management for 5 years. Wasn't easy too, managing education and extracurricular activities, but it actually paid through because right now am a good event manager/planner aside being an estate manager
A little about me! I am honest, hardworking and self–motivating person and my flaws which I am still working on, I trust people very quickly, procrastinate at times. I love to travel, meet people and play games.
That's all about me.
