Hello Hive!
My name is Joshua Joshua, but I go by MysteriousJosh and I’m from the heart of Akwa Ibom, in the South-South region of Nigeria.
I’m a fine artist by heart and essence, a microbiologist by passion and degree, a Web3/Crypto enthusiast by curiosity, a writer and, yes, a die-hard FC Barcelona fan (no apologies! 😂).
I’ve always lived in two worlds, one of art and imagination, the other of petri dishes and microscopic wonders.
Art is my expression. Science is my foundation.
Don't get me wrong, my background in science doesn’t pull me away from art, rather it sharpens how I see it. To be honest, I often find beauty in the strangest places, the bloom of mold on agar, the delicate structures of fungal spores, the symmetry in chaos.
I first joined Hive in November, 2022 thanks to my Grandmaster, @idyharrison , who like the biblical Moses parting the Red Sea, paved the way for my artistic journey, unlocked my artistic potential and also introduced me to this beautiful ecosystem.
Back then, I was full of excitement, already imagining the kind of art I’d share and the people I’d connect with.
But life had other plans.
I was in the middle of my BSc degree program in microbiology, deep into research, labs, deadlines, and survival mode. I couldn’t give Hive the love it deserved. I didn’t post, didn’t engage, not because I didn’t care, but because I was stretched too thin.
Fast forward to now, I’ve wrapped up my degree, the dust has settled, and my sketchbook is calling again. I logged back into Hive today and this time… I’m here to stay.
Hive feels like home. No algorithms chasing trends. Just real people, real stories and creative freedom. That’s why I’m excited, not just to post, but to build something meaningful here.
Here’s what to expect from me going forward, Art, a lot of it. I’ll be sharing my original portrait drawings, process pieces, art inspired by nature.
From time to time, I'll also share some science inspired write ups and insights, along with thoughts on crypto, creativity and Web3. And of course, for my fellow culés, the occasional Barça fan moment.😂
This is my introduction. But more than that, it’s a restart.
I’m here to grow, to give, to learn and I know the journey won’t be complete without you, the Hive community.

Apologies for my delayed response.
I really appreciate your kind words and the encouragement.
I will definitely check out the communities you suggested, as I will be sharing more of my art. I will also go through the newbie guide and won't hesitate to ask my questions in the Discord channel.
Over time, as I get more familiar with everything, I’d also love to find ways to contribute back to the Discord community, maybe by helping out there.
