RE: Hi Steemit! 😊

Welcome to steemit. I look forward to following your progress down this path. I, too, homeschooled my boys (23 and 18) and I enjoyed every day I could spend with them. I love the full spectrum of fabric arts, but I gravitate towards figuring out crochet motifs/squares and then I take the smallest needle and finest threads - yep, silk sewing thread - and once I figure it out, I move on to the next puzzle. I guess I'm a sampler :) because I don't generate anything functional or even useful. I look forward to hearing your stories.

Thank you @mysticwisdom ~ that is awesome you also homeschooled and loved it :) I have met homeschooling mamas who were stressed out by it, not that they didn't enjoy the time with their kids but in general they appeared to me to be in constant stress to meet the standards set by society or by the state requirements so it is nice to hear that you look back fondly on the time spent together. That's what it's all about.

It sounds like you also like to challenge yourself to something new often, I am also a "sampler" :) I'm all for it, working on the projects that bring us true joy. I think it's important to participate in fiber arts, these ancient yet still so relevant & useful skillsets, for the true love of it and not as "factories."
