Hey Steemit and Dtube community!
I'm Nathan Jin, 21 years old and just graduated last year in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm originally from Kansas, and moved to lovely California for school. I'm a calligrapher, foodie and work on changing the food system through blockchain. I also do urban dance!
Here's me. Please forgive me for being a day late on my post! The ink took awhile to dry so I decided to wait until today. Also I'm horrible at writing numbers. 
Dtube
Calligraphy is a pretty slow hobby - this post took me six minutes to write, although I was a bit inefficient with the camera in the way. I typically write at about 3-5 words per minute, although this rate is slightly on the slow end. I've been practicing calligraphy since highschool, and specialize in Italic and Gothic scripts. Baking
I grew up baking, resulting in my passion for food. At one point I realized that baking is chemistry and when you understand the chemistry you can control everything about your food- how it tastes, looks and feels. I focus on baking pastry and am pursuing a fundamentally chocolate croissant, where the dough itself is chocolate.
Blockchain in Food
For the last two years I've been working on bringing blockchain to the food system as a co-founder and head of Product and Strategy of ripe.io, which has been named Top 25 Most Innovative Ag-Tech Companies by Forbes, and been featured in a number of media outlets. In December, I left ripe.io to start a new venture called Ivy, with a focus on benefiting the individual user instead of forcing the solution up the supply chain through a centralized force.

Thanks - I'm a little confused about DTube and Steem together- I made two posts when I probably could have made one. How would I integrate the DTube upload into this post instead of making two separate posts and linking it?

Thanks! Its been a wild journey especially since the food industry is pretty slow moving.
I appreciate it- one thing I love about calligraphy is I'm always learning how to write better.
I suppose it depends on which side of the food industry you work in, I worked on the customer side and designing menus and it was hectic, everyone wanted it yesterday :-)

What part of Kansas (if you don't mind saying) . We lived in Lawrence for 25 years (youngest son still lives there) and all my kids still live there.

Wife is from Sterling, just down the road and have multiple friends in Wichita.
Wanda is the furry guardian who sits on my lap when I am on the computer and keeps me from typing anything too stupid. Everyone needs a Wanda. She can be found on most every post I make.
