It's a pleasure @overthewait. I too try my best to read, digest and provide input into stories that are obviously heart-felt and of substance. It does get to the point where one has to be quite selective with the content on the feed to avoid the "Facebook scenario" where all you end up doing is endlessly scrolling without really connecting with anything as it flashes by.
Your story holds particular interest to me as my wife is a long term pain sufferer who is doubly unfortunate in that she suffers from an ailment that is not well understood and doesn't fit neatly into a medical pigeon hole. It's hence treated awkwardly with phrases such as "get well soon" from the ignorant who don't grasp that there is no getting well soon. It's just something that people say to satisfy what they think is their end of the social contract.
Perhaps you've experienced similar. It's a lonely struggle sometimes and is something difficult to be open about so I respect your candour here. Keep up the good work.
Yes, there is no getting better. But I don't expect people to understand, I'm happy for them to not for it is a horrid thing enough for those of us who live it to understand. I'm glad your partner has your support, not many people stay when these things occur. You Sir have my respect.
Thank you kindly. All that has value must be invested in over time. My best wishes to you.
