My Introduction :)

Hello everyone! :)
I decided to write something about myself for my first post on Steemit.

My name is Petra, I'll be 24 years old in a month from now and I live in Croatia. I'm currently studying graphic technology and I'm planning to write posts about everything I think you may find interesting (for example, maybe you've heard of thermochromic inks, which change their color when put under high temperatures). This university had also taught me some basics about photography and I'm really looking forward to show you some of my photos (not that I'm good at it, far from that, but I still want to share them with you). I live in a small town called Slunj (around 5000 people live there).
So I'm living in Slunj and studying in Zagreb (capital of Croatia) and I can tell that both living in small or big city has its pros and cons. Those two cities are total opposites: in Slunj literally everybody knows who you are, who are your parents, where you are and stuff like what are you planning with your life (I'm not kidding) and so on, unlike Zagreb, where nobody knows and cares about you.

Since people know each other there, they're curious, so Slunj is ruled by gossip. If you don't like to gossip, you'd be pretty bored and annoyed here because most of the conversations you make in one day are usually about some other people. Also, when in Zagreb, I'm busy all the time, while in Slunj it's again the opposite, there's a lot of free time and by 9 pm there's not a single soul outside, especially on winter days.

I think that reason for that could be a huge difference between the size of those two cities and that is actually a good side of living in Slunj – it takes you 5 minutes to go literally anywhere you want. Going to a bar, store, school…anywhere, just 5 minutes. That's the reason I often feel really lazy here in Zagreb, it takes me one hour just to go buy some groceries, not to mention how badly the traffic can slow you down sometimes. Because of my laziness, I just love to spend time at home or at my girlfriends home mostly playing games and watching movies and shows. My hobbies are photography and music (I love to make beats using Fruity Loops Studio).
I have this profile since last week but I went to a vacation with my family and couldn't post anything, but I took some really nice photos and I'm looking forward to show you the beauty of Senj, Croatia :)

And why did I decide to write posts on Steemit? Because I think it'll be really fun and also rewarding at the same time. There is another reason and it is pretty obvious – I desperately need to improve my English. LOL

Have a nice day! :D Petra
