Welcome! I highly suggest adding a couple images to gain more visibility. Also, frequent content will help you gain more followers and publicity. You might earn $0 for weeks and weeks, but then one day you'll get $100. The trick is not to stop, even though you don't make anything. Consistency and belief in the platform is what makes a network, and if you stay and continue providing for the project, you will be appreciated by many!

Hello @philosophical :)
I find the recommendation for adding photos to be alarming and concerning. The reason for this is that I very much intend to consistently write for steemit, but without ease of adding photos, I won't be. As far as I know right now, adding photos is not an easy process. Likewise, I see the tendency being for photos that are cutesy and for laughs or effect. If I'm going to add a photo and take the effort to do so, I want it to have meaning.
Or is it not the case that adding photos is difficult and time-consuming?
It really isn't difficult. I'm not a techie, and I worked it out in minutes. It needs to be a photo on the internet, or google drive or the like, and you just copy and past the address in the little box. Not well explained, but if you hunt around you will find a tutorial. Edit: Good one here https://steemit.com/steem-help/@rules169/how-to-post-a-picture
Well thank you!
I think I mount give that a try!
