Wish I could say I am finally here, but that would imply I was trying to get onto this for a while. I discovered Steemit 2 days ago.
But nevertheless, introducing myself.
I am Piyush and my journey begins in 1991. I started off my professional life as a musician when I was 16 years old, playing the keyboards and piano, touring and performing across multiple cities.

I then completed a degree in Economics in India in 2009 before moving to London to pursue a Master degree in Investment Banking and Finance. Drastic change from being a musician to an investment banker, but that's life. This transition was not easy in any way. I did a Steve Jobs, leaving everything behind for a few months and trekking the Himalayan mountain ranges for a while.

London was cloudy and cold. But this time set me up to pursue a career in investment banking and venture capital.
I moved back to India in 2013 and started working for a venture capital fund. My job took me to Australia and Dubai. I remember spending 15 days a month in Dubai for 2 years. I worked closely with founders at multiple startups we invested into, and this often felt like being a founder myself. I have personally taken 4 startups from ideation stage to a seed round, then a Series A, B and eventually an acquisition. This was fun, but exhausting.

In 2017, I decided to move to Australia to pursue a MBA degree at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management. This was also the time I started doing my research on cryptocurrencies and blockchain. I decided to invest significant chunks of capital into promising coins and ICOs.

And guess what? I think the venture capital experience came in handy. I have lost money and made money, but most importantly I have come to realise there is nothing better than not being greedy and knowing when to exit an investment.
Lambos don't grow on trees. And they don't run on dreams.
I know think of managing crypto investments as a full time job and life is good. I now have friends, family and fools asking me to manage/introduce them to cryptocurrencies. Maybe its time to give my serious hobby a professional touch.
But seriously, how good is Raiblocks. I am blown away by the speed of transfer and zero transaction fee.
I'll look forward to engage myself more in this community. I think it is very immature to make price predictions and recommend coins. The blockchain space is beautiful in itself and we can all grow together.
If you are part of/know any interesting ICO, me and my friends would be happy to learn more and be part of the journey.
Cheers,
Piyush
