Seems like a great idea, especially if @surfermarly is putting her name on it!
I suppose we all have different hopes and ambitions... which I say as a bit of background for the greater statement "I like the sound of this initiative because it sounds like encouraging people to use Steemit PROPERLY" which for me means building a social content presence (in our case for art) not spamming the site with bots talking to bots, thousands of comments and "thin" content as if this were ONLY some kind of "cyber cash dispenser."
I run this account for our small independent art gallery... hoping to build enough of a presence to help promote original art, help expose artists in our gallery, perhaps find new artists to feature, support Steemit artists and more... so far going slowly, and just defining and fine-tuning the "mission" after about 6 weeks here.
Anyway, following-- gonna keep an eye on this-- would be happy to partake, both to learn, as well as to support... all about the "gift economy" and "pay it forward" thing!
Thanks for your detailed reply @reddragonfly!
Yes, this project is aims to improve the quality of content in general. Quality is subjective, however since @surfermarly has one year of blogging experience we may somehow know what "works" and what doesn't. What most people consider "spam" obviously doesn't receive high appreciation on the platform.
It's a natural selection process.
Professionality, dedication, passion and love for detail are definitely recognized on steemit. The aim of this project is to support that: supporting both the content creators and the network itself, making knowledge about quality content creation available for everybody.
Following you with both accounts :-)
