Freedom. Truth. Consciousness. Soul. You. Me. Everything.

As this is my #introduceyourself post ... here's my pledge to you all ...

I will always work to ...

  • speak from my open heart
  • express my highest truths honestly and without fear
  • communicate with respect, and never with violence
  • understand other points of view

I may not always pull this off.
:b
But, hand-on-heart (tricky whilst typing), I will always try.

I also pledge to put earnings back into Steemit by powering-up with them.

Right then ...

Here's what I like to do day-to-day

I try to be my truth in each and every moment.
I read, I write, I love and laugh and live as spontaneously and freely as I can.

I practice and teach Yoga/meditation ... not just the bendy-stretchy exercises but Yoga as originally intended ... as a journey of internal exploration, a path to Freedom.
I grow, share and enthusiastically eat organic fruit and vegetables - I follow a plant-based diet.
I make and manage websites - bit bored of that these days, and finding so much more inside that needs to express - currently it pays the bills, needs must and all that.

So much more.
We are all so much more than we can express in words, right?

But we're not what we do

We are Infinite Consciousness dancing with Infinite Energy to create finite, ever-changing experience.
Freedom is knowing that and fully living that knowing.
Epic.

Freedom is not granted to us from outside ourselves.
It is an internal state of being, and, ultimately, is unaffected by external forces.
This is very challenging, but also very empowering.
Freedom is ours for the taking.

The universe and our individual lives share the same purpose: the evolution into Freedom, via coming to understand ourselves as Consciousness, Light, Love, God, Source, Soul, The Great Spirit, Oneness, Unity, Is-ness, the Absolute, the Witness, Purusha, Atman, Christ (all names for that which has no name - oh the paradoxes of the spiritual path!).
That is why we are here.
Far out.

My offerings to the Steemit community (and to the world)

I will be creating content based around the most important subject there is;

How we can become Free

We can.
In fact, becoming Free is the only game in town.
I'll offer my experiences with the process of personal conscious evolution (aka 'awake living') and the tools of Yoga/meditation to support this.

Subjects I will explore to include

  • Freedom. What is Freedom? Why we aren't Free? How we can become Free?
  • Consciousness/Soul. Same thing. There is nothing before It.
  • Yoga/meditation. Same thing. So very much to explore here. Yoga's a path that I have explored in depth, found success in employing, and can talk about with some authority (if I may be so bold)
  • Kundalini, what it is, how it can help us, and my personal experiences with Kundalini activation
  • Other random and Freedom-related inspiration as it comes to me  :)

I look forward to reading as much of everyone else's work as I can, too.
I'll contribute to the Steemit conversation and community as much as possible.

I'm so very excited about Steemit.
It offers so much to support us on our path to Freedom.

PS. The circle image in this post is something I made taken from a recent crop circle near Stonehenge, UK, near where I live.

Sort:

All pleasing things to read. Sounds to me like you have a lot of value to offer here, to the Steemit community, which can only be a good thing.

I consider myself to be a very spiritual person, myself. I'm a guy that finds a lot more excitement (than I do fear) in the unknown, and perhaps unknowable. Or, more specifically: I'm deeply curious about this feeling that I've labeled "fear" and the true identity of that whom this supposed fear "happens to", and that's where a lot of my time and attention is directed.

I'm only a stock trader due to how everything has unfolded for this character that I appear to be, for the time being. However, I feel certain that, in essence, I am much more and far greater than this character and his limited psyche.

Sometimes I feel trapped, even depressed, but, often, I come to get re-aquainted with the freedom that is inherent in my being. Still, there's much that I don't know, and feel like I can never know, and that's part of the excitement of being alive, as I perceive it.

Also, love your formatting in the post - very pleasing to the eyes!

Thank you, @jamesbrown, for your kind words and taking the time to reply.

Yes, I think we are all spiritual people , as we are all Spirit.
We just forget, become dis-connected.
And yes, as you say, we are so so much more.

I think/feel that the cause of depression, all dis-ease in fact, is caused by separation from our Truth, from that which we really Are.
Yoga - which is the practice of Union - has helped me to heal, to become whole.

I'm glad to have met you here, and look forward to connecting with you again.

Love Peace & Freedom.

You're most welcome for my honest words and for the time that I spent replying to your post, which was my pleasure.

I thank you for the same and share in your sentiment about the Spirit and about looking forward to our future connection(s). Hey, if it doesn't happen now, it's inevitably going to happen eventually, right :)

Peace, love, and freedom right back at you, friend.

EDIT: you found a "follower" in me, in case I haven't made that part clear :)

Awesome.

Yes, inevitable ... :D
We are One, right?

Read a few of your other posts.
Interested in your angles on crypto/blockchain stuff - this is an interesting area of development in terms of finding Freedom.

Following you, too.

Love Peace & Freedom.

Have your read an SF novel called The Kundalini Equation, by Steven Barnes? I haven't, yet, but I met him at a convention a few weeks back, and I'm curious.

I hadn't heard of that book.
I looked on amazon and decided to grab a copy.
Thanks for the pointer, I'll let you know how it reads for me.

Kundalini is a fascinating subject.
It is often discussed as an abstract .. something we read about in books, or that activates only in ascetics living in ashrams or caves in the Himalayas following 30 years of intense meditation.
At least that's what I thought anyway ... until I had a full-blown K activation during a meditation last year.
Wow doesn't come near it.
Life changer.
Quite probably the most enormous tsunami of a peak spiritual experience one could ever have.
K continues to flow strongly in me, and I am only now been getting used to my new state of being.
I will be writing about this subject on Steemit in detail in due course.

I should add ... I don't write/speak of this from an ego I'm-so-clever point of view.
In fact, I have only just started to talk about it openly.
I offer my experience with humility and huge gratitude.
In the hope that it will inspire others to pursue this awesome miracle for themselves.
It is, after all, our natural birthright and a great tragedy that we have lost touch with it.
I feel sure that my experience is part of a wave, and that Kundalini will return to us all as we evolve, perhaps sooner rather than later.

Love Peace & Freedom

Welcome @richhorn. I am quite sure you have lot to offer. Will look forward to some interesting content from you. All the best.

Thank you @dev,
Your kind words are much appreciated.
