Hello Steemit community!
This is the very beginning of a growing community of artists in the Rocky Mountain region! It starts here, but our hope is to help make this into THE artist networking and curating spot for Steemians! It all started when @falseyedols (a recent member of Steemit himself) joined and found it very difficult at first to get going on Steemit. If it wasn't for @rockymtnsteem and their members, it would have been so much more difficult! We witnessed other artists join and almost quit just as fast, so we decided to act by creating The Rocky Mountain Art eSteem (RMAe for short).
The idea is simple: create a spot for local artists to gain recognition for their hard, quality work, as well provide a new medium that allows them to network and grow their fan base! We have already setup a discord server to further enhance communication, here is the link and you are all welcome to join! (https://discord.gg/KzXphE).
This will be a selective group! As Steemit is designed with quality in mind, we will only be sharing and upvoting work that we believe in and believe was created with true artistry. It is a win win for everyone. Be sure to stop by here frequently for the best art we have found on Steemit in the Rocky Mountain region so far!

Falseyedols was the first of most artists in the Rocky Mountain region to join Steemit, and because of that saw the need for a platform to assist artists. Growing tired of Facebook and very excited for the potential Steemit brings to artists, Falseyedols has been recruiting artists left and right to Steemit! With a background in guitar for over 10 years and experience in producing almost all genres of music, Falseyedols has networked with artists from metal to folk to EDM to hip hop and even jazz.
But this requires a team of talented and highly motivated people!
Steemit is a community and also requires like minded people to be successful, and that is why Elimence and Mic.Mayhem have been asked to join RMAe as founders. Mr. Mayhem is still awaiting his Steemit, but he is an extremely talented bassist, and music connoisseur! With a heavy background in metal and hip hop, as well as networks in the folk and punk scenes, he truly has a lot to offer the platform and will also assist in getting more people to Steemit. He is also an extremely talented writer and will be contributing to the poetry community on Steemit! Once his account approves we will share his introduction post so you guys can get to know him.
Elimence is one of the most respected beatmakers/producers in the hip hop scene. He has a reputation for quality. Having produced one of the arguably best hip hop albums with local hip hop great Stoney Bertz, he is highly respected in the scene. He will be assisting in curating and bringing our hip hop and beat heads over to Steemit, and has ideas for great contests as well! Something he doesn't mention, too, is his phenomenal writing and rapping capabilities! The photo you see above is a bit of a rarity, seeing Falseyedols and Elimence on stage performing a song together, where you get to hear Elimence slay the mic!
So there you have it folks! We wanted to give a bit of information about where we are coming from, and we hope to grow with you all on Steemit. If you know of artists in the Rocky Mountain region, send them our way! We want to help coordinate meetups and network with other Steemit groups as well!
