I’ve been editing my novel then putting it out in small pieces. We’ll see how it goes down, although my research into the Steemit platform and authors indicates that longer and more complex story lines don’t attract big audiences, with the posts featuring some truly mediocre view counts.
I think that your are right, not sure if the platform lends itself to longer complex stories.
I've tried linking to your story, but I get a massage that it is protected and then it just seems to be stuck :-(
Are you trying to link to the steemit post or to the google docs directly?

All you need to do is right-click on the blue link and choose 'copy link address' to share it.
I'm using my phone, reckon I have to get to a good old fashioned PC
On an Android phone, hold down your finger on any link for a second, release it, then choose ‘copy link address.’
