Welcome to Steemit @brianlewis. I could have written your introduceyourself post, but I am sure it would not have been as well written. I've only been writing for a few months and I would have to classify myself as a "minnow" writer, keeping in the Steemit motif. I am confident that I have the great American Novel in my brain. The problem is just that it's sort of jumbled. I happened to come across your dystopian SciFi story on steemit chat and decided to check it out and your blog as well. I always enjoy coming across a fresh "Steemian", especially one that has an introduceyourself post that isn't buried under months of posts.
