HELLO FELLOW STEEMIANS!
I’ve now been a part of this site for a bit now and have been looking for a way to give back a bit to the community. I have been following and participating in several of the weekly CONTESTS and it occurred to me that no one was hosting or curating a WEEKLY VIDEO contest.
I am a content nerd and I love motion work as much as I love still photography.
WHO am I? Well my name is Richard Lech. I am a photographer. A television producer. Im a director of photography. I’ve been doing this for a long time now and I’ve made a career out of creating content. Im here doing this because I want to encourage more people to create. I think the moment we can start creating more we start seeing the world in a different perspective.

VIDEO CONTEST RULES:
* THIS CONTEST IS OPEN TO ANYONE WHO CAN RECORD VIDEO.
* Any format or medium is allowed — iphone, Alexa or RED cameras, digital, point and shoot, drone, 16mm… if it can shoot video it counts (or even if it only shoots still and you can string together at 10sec video that works too.
* Each week a new theme is released in a video post.
* I will stop accepting entries the moment the post has paid out.
* Video must be minimum of 10 seconds, and no more than 60 seconds.
* All work posted must be original!! If you didn’t shoot it, it doesn’t count. By entering this competition you acknowledge that you own the rights to the videos!
* Motion graphics to video is allowed. An original video must be the base to the motion graphics. This is not an animation contest.
* All entries must be tagged with #steemitvideocontest
* The title MUST start with: 🎬 #SteemitVideoContest - WEEK 1. NO OTHER INFORMATION SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE TITLE. Titles of your work, or any other notes about your work should be included within the post itself.
* Any ENTRY who doesn’t follow this naming method will NOT be considered.
* Multiple entries may be submitted, please submit your additional entry in the comments area of your FIRST entry, please no more than a total of 3 entries. IF you submit more than 3 I’m going to only look at the first 3 by timestamp according to your posts.
* Please use either DTUBE or YOUTUBE to submit your entries.
* You may submit a previous entry for future contests, as long your video was NOT a winner in a previously won a contest, and it fits with the day/week theme!
* IF you are caught stealing peoples work you will not be able to participate in future entries and your account will be passed along to Steemit blacklists.
* At any point, I reserve the right to disqualify any video that violates any of these rules.
* Be Creative!!!

HOW VIDEOS ARE JUDGED.
Im going to judging each weeks entries based on which video captures the theme the best.
Well… right now you probably are going to be stuck with just me. BUT, I am hoping to find guest curators to be a part of this competition. (Maybe I’ll even have a celebrity judge one day!). If any of you want to help volunteer to be a judge let me know!

Each week the winner takes home ALL the SBD this post will generate. YOU heard me... ALL the SBD this post generates will be transferred to the winner. The more you share this amongst your friends the more likely you will win a larger contest prize!!

Am I allowed to plagiarize a video that plagiarized another video that has been plagiarized itself? Ya know.. If I redo the video and act it out and just pretend like I came up with the content?? Theoretically it wouldn't even be considered as being plagiarized anymore by the 4th remake of the video since im sure every time it is plagiarized it loses a tiny bit of its original meaning due to misinterpretation and due to the fact that every person who has plagiarized the video will likely have added a little bit of their own twist to said video. Ya dig, dawg?
