Pendulum: The Start of My Journey in Steemit

Our journey started on different starting lines, some are miles ahead, most stick to what is given out and many positioned themselves on their ideal level. Everyone set the goal of becoming their own definition of champions. With jaw clenched, few began to reinvent themselves, starting from their thoughts as it trickled down to their action and now becoming their very own reality.

Hello GORGEOUS Steemians !!! Welcome to my very first post as @springroses . My name is Leah Romero, 21, writing you this at a little corner in the Pearl of the Orient Seas, Philippines! I am now sending you all of my warmest and sincerest hug and "thank you". Geee! I’m super excited to create a wider connection of friendship here. Let me start first by giving you a glimpse of the woman behind @springroses .

I believe in hope and how far it can bring you.
I believe in love and its every detail crafted with mystery.
I believe in silence appearing lonesome but such serenity it brings.
I believe in beauty which everyone uniquely presents.
I believe in grief and how it adds dimension into your character.
I believe in loyalty which everyone wishes yet only few are lucky to experience.
I believe in pleasure , fleeting and intoxicating.
I believe in confusion as it waltzes its way without your knowing.
I believe in strength and the fact that you can’t judge it on mere looks.
I believe in dreams which make pain bearable.
I believe in happines, and it is not what it seemed to be.
And most of all, such difference it is from the moment you start to believe.

There are three features within me, the passionate artist, raging with thoughts of colors, poise and desire to perform; the mischievous mademoiselle who seeks liberation, thrill and sincerity; and the strong visionary, aspiring and striving for the people I love and my dreams. How can I let them play, nourish and take their stage in a single body within a limited time?

It has always been my aim to motivate men and empower women. These thoughts are like waves of the ocean, it keeps on coming back, endlessly. I was actually trying to find a platform of which I can raise my thoughts, be the voice not only the majority but also the minority. This is the reason why I was magnetised to become a member of the Steemit family. @springroses will be about passion, health, travel, thoughts and life's little adventures.

Who has invited me in Steemit?

I graduated in University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue taking up Business Administration major in Marketing Management. I was a working scholar there for three years. I was blessed to avail the scholarship, not only was I able to help my parents, I learned a lot too. It was greatly emphasised to me the importance of time management, respect to everyone and hard work.

There I met Mr. Edenjevy or a.k.a @sorenkierkegaard, whom I looked up to as a mentor for his wisdom and knowledge. In times where I needed guidance I come to him and seek his advice. Later on, he introduced me to this awesome community. At first, I was totally resistant to his offer of teaching me. Then, last January 7, 2018, I took the step of visiting the 6th Steemit Meeting at Dolce Cafe. In that event, I met a lot of people, filled with energy and excitement. Also, there I was able to meet @jassennessaj, who was also a dedicated working scholar and Steemian. I appreciate him for his leadership skills, patience and creativity. From that moment on, I was resolved to join and learn.

I joined Steemit December 30th, 2017 and have had a blast networking, learning and earning (actually made some pretty good money so far)!

I'd suggest signing up for these free applications for Steemit that gets you upvotes and followers. The first thing you need to do as a new user is to increase your STEEM POWER (SP), which increases your visibility and voting power. These were a huge help for me.

Your intro is fascinating. Not only is it very well-written and well-formatted, it also expresses your many and various hopes and ideals. I'm sure you'll find Steemit to be a fine platform on which you can continue to write and share your knowledge with others.

Below are a few basic points of advice re posting on Steemit.

1. Longer posts are more lucrative than short posts. If you make a post of 20–30 paragraphs, it's more likely to earn rewards.
2. Include some photos, images or graphs, to complement the text.
3. Make sure the text and photos are formatted properly, so that your post looks attractive and appealing.
4. Be yourself.
5. Be interesting and informative.
6. Create quality content. Steemit is intended to be a platform of quality content. (You will see many insignificant posts with meager content and no quality. Most of those of posts [called “shitposts” by Steemit whale Stellabelle] will earn few rewards and soon pass into oblivion.)
7. Get online and start curating. Read various posts, comment on those posts you find interesting, and upvote those posts. That’s the best way to attract followers.
