It took a long time before I decided to start blogging. Thanks to @maxgou for the invitation!
I live in the Netherlands, brew coffee, raise a ginger cat and do my own internet projects. Now my life is not at all like my last 10-15 years.
I was born in Vladivostok (Russia), very far from Europe. The nearest city from Vladivostok is in China, and you can see Japan through good binoculars, so that you understand how far it is :-)
After studying at a local university for a bachelor's degree in Marketing, I moved to Moscow to study for a Master of Business Informatics in E-Business. This is how my journey into internet marketing and ecommerce began.
I worked for a large marketing agency. My career as a hired worker began as an e-commerce trainee and ended (hopefully ended) with an account director at the head of international agency partnerships. During all this time, I have accumulated experience, starting with manual automation of operational tasks, and ending with complex issues of labor organization in teams of up to 40 people. Therefore, I will probably sometimes get bored about management and KPI topics :-)) I promise to do this rarely.
For several years I was responsible for preparing large marketing strategies for companies like Buyer, Volkswagen Group, Leroy Merlin and many others.
I am exactly that person who cannot imagine life without Google Spreadsheets and Excel. I think I will make a whole series of posts on how to use Google Spreadsheets in a non-standard way for the tasks of a manager, marketer, SEO specialist, and even as a no-code way to create a network of affiliate websites.
In general, I believe that the ability to work with spreadsheets and make slides are the most important skills for any modern business person. It doesn't matter if you work for a company, doing your own projects, or looking for venture capital investments for a unicorn startup.
But the most important thing that interests me now is finding answers to questions about building my own Internet projects. I think this will be the main topic that I will publish posts about.
I also really like to travel. If anyone is interested, I also have a story to tell on this topic! I've visited about 30 countries and I'm not going to stop :-)))

Working as a Business controller the past year and a half I can totally relate to this😅.
It's nice to see you here and I'm happy we got your account up and running 😊. Hive and peakd is a really cool place to meget others who are passionate about data, statistics etc. You'll have a lot of people making cool data on Hive's growth and user activity like @abh12345, @penguinpablo, @paulag and I'm sure @howo can think of many more.
I loved your story (never though of the fact that one couold see Japan from Russia😯) and also share your love for travelling😊. Maybe we will see each other at a future @hivefest together with @maxgou and @katiolus? 😉

Ahaha😀 Perhaps I'm exaggerating a little, but Japan is very close if you cross the sea strait. Surely there are good binoculars through which you can see the coast of Japan from Vladivostok 😂

Being someone who sucks at slides, could you give some pro tips ? Like where do you find a good template or do you built it yoursef, are you using powerpoint, keynote or google slides ? What are the most common errors you see in slides ?

Yep. "Bayer" as a company😀 Basically, these were the company's divisions in Russia and the CIS countries. In fact, all international clients of BBDO Group who had a performance marketing campaign in the CIS countries. The agency I worked for was BBDO's exclusive performance marketing partner. We acted as their subdivision.

It's great that you are interested in this topic. I will definitely describe my experience about slides and strategies.
I'm a Google Slides fan. But on the rest of the issues, everything very much depends on the specific task. The most important thing is to understand who you are going to show these slides to, how to show them and what result you want to get.
I have a few basic templates out of the box, but sometimes I use ideas from templates on Envato Elements to expand my creativity. Envato Elements is a treasure for slide and content makers😃
In general, with experience I come to the starting idea "The best slides are simple slides"😆 A couple of years ago I was giving a lecture on creating slides for managers. I will prepare my more structured thoughts on this topic. This is a very interesting topic for discussion :-)
