Thank you for joining me on this new adventure!! I am The Anxious Amazon, but my real name is Kyle. Feel free to call me either.
I am a 6ft tall anxious, agoraphobic, artist living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I was invited to join Steemit by my amazing friend @carazozula who regularly astounds me with her art and inspires me to create as much as I can. She also inspired me to be a little EXTRA and stitch the intro in my photo.
As you may have guessed from the picture, I love to embroider and cross stitch. I am mostly self taught and have been branching out from cross stitch lately and into more freehand embroidery. Here are some more examples of my recent work...
I have also been known to do some photography and model on occasion. My work ranges from event and concert photos to fashion and art photography. My work has even been published a few times, which is still a little surreal to me.
I haven't been doing as much photography lately, but I am hoping that this community can inspire me to create more in the year(s) to come. I might even model more, which I rarely do, but secretly love. Runway is my favorite, which can only be topped with projects like this one where I was styled with the John Waters film "Female Trouble" in mind...
My other obsessions run the gamut from true crime and serial killers to the cute and kawaii. I'm also a little obsessed with my dog because he's super rad. His name is Hachi and he is a Shiba Inu. Yup, the doge dog.
I feel like this is way too long already, but who am I if I am not too much? It's kinda my thing. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have. Just ask!

Sometimes I do! Mostly I just make them for gifts, but now I have a bunch sitting around my house that I don't know what to do with. Haha!

I just adore your embroideries, and the attitude! Arts and crafts are important to me and i enjoy when someone has real talent. But usually embroideries are kind of lame as ”live love laugh” isn’t really my thing. Thumbs up!
Well, I have plenty of attitude to spread around. Haha! I'm not much for the "Live love laugh" crap either. Curse words are more my speed. Are there any good Finnish curse words I should know?
The best one is Perkele. When finns use it the weight is on -r so it has as much power as possible 😅

Hello, fellow agoraphobic.
Hey! Us agoraphobics have to stick together, but at home...alone. Hehe.
Yeah, I'm also a shy introvert with no friends. I usually occupy my time reading all day. A few months ago my therapist said I should try to interact with people more, and suggested blogging. That's something I'm not very comfortable with either. Did I mention I also have social phobia, as well...
Oh yeah. I know that feeling. Sometimes blogging and writing things down is helpful for me. Honestly, I started cross stitch and embroidery to combat my anxiety and give my hands/brain something to do that isn't thinking about how everything will go wrong.

Wow! @theanxiousamazon, I'm so thrilled by by your passion and accomplishment. My undying love for tailoring went into hibernation when I got admission to study Accounting. It's a decade+ now that I haven't touched the sewing machine or do a cut. Some of my friends call me "Sharp Cutter" because I cut fabrics to shape of whoever is wearing it and I charge them as high as N5000 fifteen years ago.
Some time in the future, I might have to launch my Clothing Line.
Let me end this by saying, "I love those stitch of yours and how you mix the colours"

Thank you so much for your kind words. I've always been interested in fashion design and tailoring, but I don't even know how to do any more than hand mend things. I have several friends who are fashion designers and I'm always so in awe of the things they create. I hope you choose to tailor more or launch a clothing line. I have followed you and hope to see more soon! :)
