RE: Steemit Newbie Coming in Hot | 1st Post (AHH!)

Thank you for taking the time to post such a thoughtful comment and for the advice! I will definitely do what you're saying to and make sure to curate every day in some way, even if that is commenting and upvoting great content!

Thank you again - I appreciate your kind words.

Cool. That's all you really have to do. Create great (or at least "high-quality") content, and find, read, comment on, and upvote that great (or at least "high-quality") content produced by others.

Voila, success on Steemit.

2 follow-up bits of advice ...

Longer posts are better and more lucrative, particularly those that have a balance of fine test and good photos / images.

At the same, however, that can be difficult at first. So, shorter posts are OK, but for those, it's best to do either of the following:

1 - Enter regular photo contests, such as this one ... @photocontests (run by @juliank)
and the photo challenges run by @theexplorer

2 - Make a series of posts. If you check out my blog, @majes.tytyty, you'll see that I do a Lou Reed Lyrics series. I started with a full anthology, but now I'm posting the individual entries with brief commentary.

Such short posts are not very time consuming for either me or the readers, but somewhat informative, possibly interesting, and minimally lucrative.

Onwards!!
