Important changes coming to @welcoming! (Voting-pattern, Comments, Delegation Leasing)

Introduction

After many interesting reactions to yesterdays article: 400! manually curated introduction posts and a huge delegation - A view back at the second week of @welcoming!, I have come upwith some major changes!
This is also the reason for this post, I normally don't plan to post every day, rather once a week! But I didn't want to change something that significant without being transparent about it.

A TL & DR can be found at the end of the post!

Voting and Resteeming-Pattern

Until today, @welcoming was only voting on posts it resteemed as well. However many users felt that over 10 resteems were annoying and they even thought about unfollowing @welcoming for that reason.

So from now on, I will try to resteem a max. amount of ten introduction posts per day, not more than three per hour!

However I will also vote on some other users with an introduction that is well made but not quite enough for a resteem.

I will aim around 66% Votes for the Users getting resteemed and around 25% for the ones not getting resteemed. That way I can vote around 10-15 introductions not getting resteemed!

Commenting with @welcoming from now on

Starting from now on, comments like those;

Bildschirmfoto 2017-12-21 um 23.44.36.png

Bildschirmfoto 2017-12-21 um 23.43.06.png

will be posted via @welcoming itself, not with this account anymore!

This will lead to the service being disconnected from me a little - And that's what I want in the long run. If steemit grows further and the number of introduction posts rises, I will need together with others when it comes to curating. So it's better if the people know the service @welcoming, not the user @theaustrianguy!

Another benefit is, that upvoted comments would speed up the growth of @welcoming, not the growth of my personal account. So users can support @welcoming via upvotes now when they see it post!

Paying directly for more delegation?!

The thought of directly buying more delegated power with the earings of this posts also came up. But since the rewards of this posts fluctuate a lot, it would be kinda difficult to get a perfect deal.

That's when the thought of upvoting @welcoming's comments came into play. If I upvote each comment (one per resteem -> ten per day) to let's say 30cent, that would have two benefits:

  1. Over the week @welcoming would gather 30$ which can be used to rent more power. These 30$ would not fluctuate my huge amounts, therefore I can safely get a deal at around that price.

  2. The comments would be above spam comments.

Since zero voting power of @welcoming will be used for this, @welcoming can keep his voting power for the support of newbies.

I will try this for one week from now, then I will try to find a delegation I can buy with that money! (If you would delegate some VP for a nice price, contact me on steemit.chat/discord or the memo function please!

What do you think of those changes? Nothing is final, if something better is in your head, present it to me!

How you can help:

  • Follow @welcoming and upvote posts you like: This part doesn't need explanation I guess ;) Helping this platform grow will be one of the key things for it's future success!

  • Delegate SP to @welcoming: You could also help the project by delegating some Steempower to @welcoming. I promise, that the account will never upvote anything else than manually curated introduction posts. Of course the curation rewards from @welcoming will be given to the delegators according to their percentage of the whole account's power!

  • Upvote this post! Like I have done with the other posts about @welcoming, all liquid rewards of this post will be converted to STEEM and powered up to the account @welcoming!

  • Tell me your ideas! Do you have an idea what I could do better? Just tell me, when can talk about everything! Good ideas will of course be rewarded with an upvote!

TL & DR

@welcoming is doing great but changing some things. From now on ten users per day will get a resteem+big upvote, ten other ones will get a smaller upvote. Comments under resteems will be made with @welcoming itself in the future, aiming to collect some money for renting more SP!

youre idea are very good and me investing all in power gl with youre project

This is a much better setup!

I'm trying to build my SP up so that I can start delegating soon to the people who need it most, I'd be glad to do so for @welcoming when the time comes!

Would you like some help in manually curating ? I'm interested in giving a hand and don't want you to burn out :)

Cool man! Klar Held ich euch. OneLove one Austrian Crew!
Ich vote seine resteemed up wenn was nettes dabei ist und resteeme @welcoming follow. Schick dir gleich mal 1 SBD rüber! Steem on my dear

Nice endeavour I took a plankton under my wing and been helping to get her exposed and have her introductory post seen by as many people as possible.

You know to get her to feel welcomed and boost her ego and SP.

She started out with SP of 25 and 10 hours in she did not have any traction.

So if you can kindly visit her with @welcoming it would be of great help.

I like such topics it's worth reading thank you very much @theaustrianguy

Sounds good! Thanks for all you do for us newcomers. It's refreshing to be able to interact with people like you, Martin. God bless and have a Merry Christmas!

This is very insightful.. Thanks..

Really interesting post, research and sharing! You are making a very intensive work and have an effective multi account strategy positionning (it reminds my early days on social media with unitedgroups on which I was trying to help people to get funds for their causes or people to support their groups or pages with a number of accounts)! Be sure, I would be glad to help by a way or another :) As I am really new here, I dont know what is already there or not. However, what do you think about theses ideas: 1) creating a friendly user guide with all the important things to know to participate in "welcoming" 2) of creating a group/team of "welcomers", maybe each on a specific topic, and maybe we could use the how to guide or things like that, to train or guide these engaged people who can help and reply to new comers as well as cooperate to make the experience more smooth for everyone who need help, empowerement, guidance, coaching, structure, promotion or assistance, that with the aim to give everyone the best chances and fullfillment? :)

thank you so much @theaustriangguy you send new information

Its great that you do this. I'm a new steemit member and I hope that you will find my introduction interesting :)
