Hi Steemians,
My name is Torrey. I live in California and I am a cancer survivor. I beat cancer in 2014. Two years ago, I doubled the size of my family; my wife and I brought twin boys into this world.
By day, I am a leader of engineers at Symantec in the Security Technology and Response group. My team and I build technology that powers the well-known Norton security software. I also lead a summer internship program which gives me the opportunity to mentor many engineering students. Within the software engineering field, I am passionate about computer security and software testing automation.
By night, I write. I started blogging 3 years ago. My favorite things to write about include leadership, books, and personal growth. I am a big believer in continuous, life-long learning.

Oh yea, I have upvoted you and followed you. Many blessings!
Welcome to steemit. I have twins as well and wanted to ask if you ever heard of TTTS (Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome)? When my family went through it, the docs said they didn't have much info about it, then a friend recently went through it and wasn't so lucky. He was still told the same thing.
Just curious....
We did not experience TTTS. Fortunately it was a healthy pregnancy. We spent 2 weeks in the NICU. The hardest part, emotionally, was bringing one home before the other.
Yup, we know what you mean. Our girls spent some time at the NICU. Then they were separated and one sent to a neighboring city about 20min away. The little one that stayed got to come home first. Once they were both finally in our care, we focused heavily on holistic care, to help rebound them to full capacity. Thanks for responding and sharing. I guess you could say these are the stories you don't hear when others learn about twins being born.
