We are Julio and Alicia, a young couple from Spain living in Germany. We met in San Francisco in 2009. Our first trip together was to LA and Las Vegas and we haven't stopped since then!

In the past 5 years we've traveled as much as we could, planning wisely our trips, maximizing our vacations with public holidays and tricks. See the world through our eyes, full of possibilities and realize there are no limits!! We'd like to share with you our adventures, hope you enjoy the journey with us!
In 2017 we quitted our jobs and left our comfortable lives to travel the world for a year, one of our biggest dreams. It wasn't an easy choice, but it was NOW OR NEVER. For now we don't regret it at all. It is impossible to regret following your dreams.
We've been traveling for 6 months now. We spent 4 months in South America, where we traveled across the continent, from the South to the North, spending almost 300 hours in all kinds of buses. The following 2 months we traveled through Central America, where we are at the moment. Soon we'll fly to where it all started 9 years ago, the States.
But that's not it! At the end of August we'll switch the buses for the trains. We'll travel from St. Petersburg to Beijing through the famous rout of the Transmongolian. Other places we will be visiting after that are Tibet, Nepal, Bali and New Zealand... We still have a long way to go!
Of course not all is as good as it seems, this isn't a year of vacations but a year of TRAVELS. So forget the farytale you see on instagram and social media, traveling can be taugh especially if you are on a budget. However, when you focus on the good things it 's easy to forget the worst, and if you don't tthey become great anectdotes! We still think not everybody would enjoy a year of travels.

En los últimos 5 años hemos viajado todo lo posible, planificando a conciencia todos los viajes para maximizar la duración de nuestras vacaciones, teniendo en cuenta los días festivos, horas extras acumuladas y otros trucos.
Te invitamos a que veas el mundo a través de nuestros ojos, lleno de posibilidades y que llegues a la conclusión de que no hay límites!! Nos gustaría compartir con vosotros nuestras aventuras y que podáis disfrutar de ellas tanto como nosotros!
En 2017 decidimos dejar nuestros trabajos y nuestra acomodada vida para recorrer el mundo durante un año, una de nuestras mayores ilusiones. No fue una decisión fácil pero se trataba del "ahora o nunca" y lo cierto es que no lo hemos lamentado ni un sólo instante. Es imposible arrepentirse de querer cumplir un sueño.
Son ya 6 meses los que llevamos de viaje. Pasamos los primeros 4 meses por Sudamérica, meses en los que cruzamos por carretera el continente de sur a norte invirtiendo casi 300 horas en autobuses de todo tipo. Los siguientes 2 meses los hemos pasado cruzando Centro América, donde estamos actualmente, y muy pronto volaremos hacia donde todo comenzó 9 años atrás, EEUU.
Pero esto no termina aquí! A finales de agosto cambiaremos el autobus por el tren y desde San Petersburgo nos desplazaremos hasta Beijing en la famosa ruta del Transmongoliano. Otros lugares que visitaremos son Tibet, Nepal, Bali y Nueva Zelanda... Aún nos queda mucho por recorrer!
Pero no todo es tan bonito como parece, esto no es un año de vacaciones sino de VIAJES. Así que olvida el cuento de hadas de las redes sociales, viajar puede ser duro especialmente si tienes un presupuesto al que tienes que ceñirte. Sin embargo cuando te centras en la parte positiva, todo lo bueno hace que los malos ratos se olviden, y si no... se convierten en las mejores anécdotas! Aun así pensamos que viajar durante un año no es para todo el mundo.
Os cuento un poco más sobre nosotros... Julio es el experto en logística y planificador de viajes, mientras que yo soy la fotógrafa oficial y la encargada de las redes sociales. Nuestro blog (www.aliciaroundtheworld) e instragram (aliciaroundtheworld) ayudan en ocasiones económicamente a nuestros viajes... quizá Steemit también lo haga! Estamos emocionados de estar aquí y de poder conocer a otros viajeros como nosotros!

I traveled for four years and post about it now, its hard work on Steemit i just joined a year ago and just dont have enough time i would want.
For now i am back in Amsterdam thinking about my next move.
