Best word of advice I can give to a new minnow, HIT THE GROUND RUNNING in your first week, (or so) it seems that your total performance determines the number of Rep Levels you will jump! I hit level 42 after skipping a few, and I have seen some exceed that.
I just had a big upvote giveaway so my VP is recovering, or I would have given a bigger ^U^V^ LOL!!!
