Welcome to SteemIT. SteemIT is tough to earn rewards on, but as long as you keep posting and get your message and yourself out there your making a difference. With your free time, read post you are interested in. Upvote post you like and make comments. That's what steem is about. Put aside the idea of making money on Steem because that's not what Steem should be about. Yes you get rewards, but if that's all your going for here it won't always turn out the way you expected. If you find yourself actually interested in Steem, it would be worth investing some money in steem. You can then power up to get more steem power, which gives you more influence over your post and payouts to other peoples post when you upvote them.
