Hey you all beautiful people of Steemit. I'm so happy to finally found a platform that I agree enough to start creating content for it.
My name is Ailen (kind of weird isn't it? It's a Mapuche name that means little embers) I'm from Argentina, 28 years old, I live by the side of Los Andes. I consider myself a Pansexual, I'm all about open relationships even though I have the same partner since I'm 14 years old. I live with mental health issues but I made peaces with it. I have the constant urge to travel and cook vegan food for the rest of my life.
I lived in Buenos Aires all my life, but at the end of 2017 I decided to move to Mendoza, and I'm loving it. I've been working on a Bank for the last 5/6 years and the stress of it consumed me until I couldn't take it anymore. So I decided to change that and now I'm in a city I don't know, with no job at all, surviving from the little savings I have and looking for new adventures and ways to enjoy life without compromising my health and values.
This platform will be part of that process and I will share every bit of this journey with you! I'm so beyond excited to share all the amazing vegan food that I create. All the amazing places that I have the fortune to travel to and the amazing vegan food that comes with it. Also I want to share the "dark" side of it and how I struggle with mental health and economic issues.
Maybe I'm too naive for thinking this but I feel that I have a story to tell that may help a lot of people to change what they think about themselves. I met my current partner when I was 14 years old, we were together for 3 years and then I start discovering my sexuality and needed some time for myself, we've been apart for 8 years, and I have to tell you It's a long story but they were the worst 8 years of my life. I will tell you all about this in another post, but now we've together for almost 3 years and I learned so much about myself by his side than by myself.
Last two years I traveled as much as I could considering the little time of vacation that I had working on a bank. I will be sharing all the tips and tricks that I have to travel with little money and a lot of passion, wich places I recomend to visit of the countries that I went to. On April of 2018 I will be going to the US with my friends, we will be on Miami for a few days and after that we will be shipping on Cruise with PARAMORE! And of course I will share every part of that with you! After the cruise that also goes to Bahamas we will be going to Orlando, and a lot of adventures are waiting for us in there. So stay tuned for that!
Oh! I'm a make up addict too. So I will be sharing some tutorials, and some of them in ASMR style! Hell yeah!

I lived there for a number of years. There is a few vegan facebook groups in the Bahamas that you may be able to ask for up to date information as I have been gone for a few years. We also used to visit the yoga ashram which is on Paradise Island you can join a class and they have vegetarian food available which is very good. Im not sure about any exclusive vegan restaurants but most of them have a vegan option.
Oh ok I will look for those groups, I only have one day at Nassau and then we will be back to miami. And go to orlando. But I'm sure I'll find a way to have good fruits and veggies at least. I'll do my research :D

I really want to encourage you to go self-employed and forget de 9-5pm life if it not makes you happy. You're more than welcome to come to Argentina, we all have too much love to give :D And I can recommend you tons of places that you will love with no doubt.

I seriously hope that you take the leap from vegetarian to vegan, and be sure that I will be here to help you every step of the way if you want. I have tons of tricks to replace animal products and still have the most amazing food. So count on that.

Welcome to Steemit Ailen. Finally I found a vegan friend who is on the same journey as me but with twice the courage. You are so brave to be so open with your mental health issues. If only I could borrow some of that bravery.
I got in the same situation as you kind of and now unemployed ( I prefer to say working towards selfemployment because that is what I due during the days) with mental health issues and trying to get by day by day. I'm so excited to see your future posts and really happy you found your way here.
Thank you so so much for the welcome Nicole. It's so good to read about more vegans here too. I don't really have that much courage but people that is as supportive about this as you gave me the guts to open up about it and hopefully help someone. I struggle a lot with depression anxiety and eating disorders, and I will talk more about this so people like you and I can feel less alone.

Iโve been vegan for about 5 months now and loving it! How about you? And thatโs a good question... Iโm not sure what my favorite recipe is yet. I made stuffed cabbage using quinoa, red lentils and tomatoes before and of the vegan meals Iโve made that is one of my top ones.
