Año 1994, Nelson Mandela es electo presidente de Sudáfrica en las primeras elecciones post Apartheid mientras en Ruanda los hutus masacraban a los tutsi en un acontecimiento bélico de orden racial –bastante confuso–, tiempo después la historia se encargaría de reconocerlo como el «Genocidio de Ruanda», fue a si mismo el año en el cual las tropas de la Unión Soviética, los Estados Unidos de América, el Reino Unido y Francia realizaron desfiles militares anunciando su retirada de Alemania –un momento muy significativo para el hemisferio occidental–, alejándonos en dirección a Japón nos encontramos con una buena noticia, la salida al mercado de la PlayStation, consola que formó parte de mi infancia –y de muchas otras–. En cuanto al continente Americano, Quentin Tarantino estrenaba Pulp Fiction y la trayectoria literaria de Mario Vargas Llosa era reconocida con el Premio Cervantes, el galardón más importante dentro de la literatura hispana, otro acontecimiento importante en el mundo de las artes hispanas fue la salida de Re, el segundo álbum de estudio de Café Tacvba, él cual es considerado uno de los mejores álbumes de rock hispano.
En una pequeña ciudad venezolana también ocurría algo, una mujer, su hermana y su madre estaban indignadas, no podían creer que más de la mitad de la familia había olvidado asistir a la celebración, ¡Si! Nací el día del cumpleaños de mi tía. Actualmente sigo viviendo en la misma pequeña ciudad junto a mis padres, cuatro perros y dos gatitos que adopté hace unos pocos días, estudio diseño gráfico e intento aprender a hablar esperanto, me interesa –y será de lo que hablaré por acá– la política, historia, sociología, economía y el arte.
