Paez was the opposite of what they talk about him, he was a cultured man, a musicologist, he spoke several languages and one of the proofs of this was a conference he gave in New York City completely in English, this was one of his facets and the other was when he led his lancers on the plain, there he became the "Centauro de lo llanos"...
