Starting My Blockchain Journey with Hive – And NEED OF CHAIN CHAPTER
💡 It All Started at HIVE's Hackathon…
I had the incredible privilege of attending HIVE's Hackathon back in March that was held at IIT Delhi — but it wasn’t just an event, it was an experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew it was different — a place full of warmth, energy and real support. It wasn’t just for coding — it was for community. I found Mr. Rahul @blackheart1 and Mr. Aryan @finfarm there, who were more like a big brothers for me and they walked me through the whole show. That moment meant a lot.
Their encouragement — and the incredibly welcoming vibe of Hive — made me realize something really important. What a developer doesn’t want, then, is just funding or a flashy platform — they need the atmosphere around them. The camaraderie, the support, the inspiration. Hive didn’t just tell me that — they handed me that. That’s when I thought, I need to bring this type of ecosystem back with me. This is how the concept of CHAIN CHAPTER came into being at VIPS.
🛠️ So I Started CHAIN CHAPTER
We started CHAIN CHAPTER, VIPS's very own blockchain society, after being inspired by Hive. However, this isn't limited to programmers. It is for everyone who is enthusiastic about Web3—whether they are developers, event planners, community builders, or just inquisitive. You belong to this society. Like Hive, we want to establish an environment where students can develop, support, and grow together. Our goal is very clear: to actively and transparently advance Web3 culture on campus.
With Hive at its core, we are promoting blockchain via seminars, events, and discussion groups. We are committed to empowering and educating students from all walks of life. Regardless of how familiar you are with Web3, CHAIN CHAPTER will be your tribe. Because lectures aren't enough for students. They require motivation. They require guidance. They require a community. With Hive's help, that's precisely what we're here to build together.
🔗 Why Hive? Because Hive = Home
Though being a gasless blockchain is undoubtedly awesome 💨🔥, Hive's people are what really set it apart. The people in the community are friendly, approachable, and genuinely interested in each other's success. I've spent enough time in the area to know that's uncommon. I am more than just a wallet address thanks to Hive. They accepted me as an intellectual. I want to introduce Hive to my college community, which is why I follow @hiveblocks.
I've also made a commitment to actively promoting Hive through CHAIN CHAPTER because of this. We're on it, from holding seminars and events with a Hive theme to raising awareness through social media reels and posters. We're even wearing Hive gear to college festivals and society gatherings. This goes beyond a simple collaboration. It's intimate. I didn't realize I needed the encouragement and support that Hive provided. I now want to repay that favour by assisting others in finding Hive, just as I did.
🌍 This Is Just the Beginning
CHAIN CHAPTER is not just a community. There is a movement. It all began when Hive showed me what true community is like, and I now want to share that with everyone. Our goal is to connect, educate, and empower the upcoming generation of Web3-native students. VIPS is now the launchpad, and Hive was the spark.
CHAIN CHAPTER is the place for all builders, believers, and novices. Yes, Hive is in charge, so let's develop together. Haha!
