RE: An Introduction to QueenMeteor and my introduction to Hive

in #introduction2 months ago

I am always interested in new technology, but find myself frequently disappointed.

You'll be rather pleased here, disappointment is a common emotion a lot of users feel! :D

There's a lot of great people on HIVE. Join some communities that interest you, make comments, have some discussions, and don't be afraid to speak your mind.

Use genuine words. Know that the chain has a version history, so there's no hiding behind "I never said that, or I never did that" - and that's one of the things I LOVE.

People can change their opinions, and change their minds, but they can't just edit something and deny it ever happened. A ledger of communication is an awesome concept.

I agree that the ledger is an important part of the platform, providing accountability. I never want to dodge the things I've said, but ensure I'm representing myself as accurately as possible.

I love that! I like to think that most users think before they hit the "Reply" or "Post" button, and as a result - we get more thoughtful (and longer) discussion on the platform.
