FACT CHECK ABOUT MYSELF!
Hi Hives! Your newbie was here, @juliebells all the way though Christmas Day is still far away. I just want to say, “Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, how are you?” I am 26 years young at heart. Came from the northern part of Cebu, Philippines Municipality of San Remigio.
I have four siblings and I was the middle child and their unica iha (only daughter). Four of us already finished our degree through the help of our parents who worked so hard to put us where we are right now, and our younger brother is still a second year in college. My oldest brother finished Bachelor of Science in Criminology and passed the board exam and now currently working at the government under Philippine National Police, my second older brother finished Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering but sad to say he didn’t pass the board exam; hence he shifted to his passion and enter the field of army where blood and sweat mixed up just to achieve the dream he wants. And now, he is also serving the people under the Philippine Army as having the title of being a second lieutenant.
Juliebells as the middle child, finished the degree of Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting and currently working at the one of the largest exporter food manufacturing company of dried tropical fruits of Cebu, a private sector, as a Compliance Staff for 2 years and counting.
My younger brother which is next to me finished Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and passed the licensure examination last August. Lastly, our youngest brother who is currently taking up Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation having his second-year college and hopefully next year he will be able to finish it. Through the hard work of our parents, we made it to the end where my father was a family driver for 21 years and my mother being a housewife and taking good care of us. Yes, life was hard, but it will even get harder if you do nothing. As time goes by, we rarely see each other and its been a long day since we are all reunited. We we’re separated by their nature of work and just reunited through the use of technology. I miss the old times where we ate and pray together as a family. But that’s how life evolve. Responsibilities rise, new opportunities come and building each other dreams to made it come true.
And as we grow older, each of us would finally met someone who will make your world upside down, breakdowns and breakthroughs. And let me tell you a story. A story of love and finding light through the darkness. A story in which it led me back to the Lord, burning back the flames of faith at my heart when I thought it would be impossible. Who is juliebells when she is in love?
Hivers, juliebells when in love gave out the most of it. A 100% of effort, love, stupidity, understanding and patience. Actually, 1 year ago, I finally decided to end a 4 year of a one-sided love relationship. A relationship that is forbidden and no one must know, just between the both of us. At first, I was happy and contented, but as time goes by, I cannot bare the minimum feelings he gave to me. He gave me trauma to the point I got anxiety. I push people away who genuinely love me. I let myself drown into sadness and hatred. I walked away from God because of brokenness. But then one day, despite on everything that I had done to God, He never forsakes me but He forgave me and sent me a man that I never expected to come. God help me back on my track through the man that I ever dreamt of. After overcoming the storm, I am now at peace. I can sleep without a headache in overthinking. I feel safe and secured. God gave me the man who keep choosing me everyday and accept me for who I am. What lesson did I get from my past? Well, learn to let go when you think it wasn’t meant for you and let God do His greater plan for you because He only knows everything. After surrendering all my worries and burdens in life to God, I feel at ease all the time and everything that weighs heavy, lightens.
PASSION/HOBBIES/INTERESTS
I am a public servant in our community, a vice president to a youth organization because I love serving people mostly the young generation and currently I passed the Civil Service Examination. My heart was in leading our youth with the aid of our barangay officials and other organizations.
Recently, in our company, I join a leadership training where I believe it helps me cultivate my potential being a good leader and also a follower.
I also love listening music; a worship and calming songs is my genre. Music helps me a lot this past few years as I face some storm in my life where it made me feel calm and have a peace of mind. And also, singing was my passion though I don’t have any golden voice to be proud of, but I am proud that I am a member of choir in our church. Lastly, I want to be a poet to my own poems. Yes, I have this notebook of mine since high school where I wrote some simple poems that are easy to comprehend and, on that lines, it just tells how I went through my day.
WHY I JOIN HIVE AND WHAT CAN I CONTRIBUTE?
I join hive because I want to meet different people and how they live their life and overcome obstacles. I want to explore and improve my ability in writing specifically in poems. I want to widened and deepened my knowledge holistically not just within my country, the Philippines, but also be globally ready. I do believe that my contribution in hive was through sharing my poems and accept constructive criticism to enhance more and do more. Hive can be my stepping stone in learning new things and get some inspirations and motivation to everyone who are within this platform.
HOW I GOT TO KNOW HIVE?
Honestly, I don’t have any idea what blogging is. Out of curiosity I message @callmesmile if ever there is still a slot available to join the orientation, and luckily, she just invites me to visit her house and then I got introduced what Hive is. She discussed and made me understand what blogging and Hive is, and it inspires me to join as I was into writing specially poems.
I am lucky to have a community like Hive where I can learn and get to know some people across the globe, and where I can share my story through writing using this platform. Hope to see you on my next blog.
