**An OverDue Intro!**

in #introduction6 years ago (edited)

"What, in the name of the gods, took you so long to post?", you may well ask.

It is interesting that once one's content becomes valued for potential financial gain, there seems to be an added pressure associated with what one posts. That is regardless if the financial gain is desired or not. That seems to have been a factor in my delay.

There have been a couple of ideas bouncing round my head over the last year for different postings. One is/was to include video bike tours of my city. Mayhap Santa will bring me some kind of mount for a camera on my helmet. *cough*

Another plan is to do something with the open mike weekly music event which my, adopted, fellow Nova Scotian @lyndsaybowes has introduced to me. Hopefully those ideas can come to fruition over the next year.

So a little about me.... did a lot of traveling in my waisted youth. Visited 27 countries by memory count. Became a proud father in the 80's and rode the DotCom Bubble in the '90s, primarily as CGI Perl Programmer. That was before the CGI acronym was usurped by the Computer Generated Imagery crowd. It was known as a Common Gateway Interface before then. You use one every time you hit a Submit button on a Web Page. They are/were little programs that gave the illusion of a session on the World Wide Web before Javascript's arrival.

My introduction to steemit must be credited to @dollarvigilante. Jeff is a great source for all things BlockChain.

Well there we have it without taking up too much of your time at this point.

Glad to meet you, i also lurked around awhile before joining a few weeks ago. I used to bike everywhere, then jobs became more physically demanding. I look forward to your posts.
