Introduction post

Hello, community! My pen name is MinDig HT - which means "always respect."

How did I end up here?

By accident.

At least, I like to think so. On the internet, you never know which algorithm is responsible, or who shared or liked something on your friends list and how or why it appeared there - because, apparently, we don't make much of a choice when the pool of options is predetermined.

I joined some time ago, lost my password a couple of times, and was originally invited by a person who turned out to be a dishonest liar. I know you were expecting a nicer, more positive origin story, but it wasn’t like that in my case.

Who am I, and what do I do with my life?

An average nobody. I don't fancy myself with big deeds, so let's stick to the basics.

I have a background in technology and finance, and I currently work in sales. In my private life, I like cooking and nature, and the center of my world is my family and friends.

My hobbies are watching movies, reading books, learning to code, and playing video games - randomly scattered, and usually at the wrong times.

I work a lot, and with the rest of my time, I appreciate being alone, enjoying the silence, or just vibing in good company. I prefer it that way, and I've never asked for anything else in life. People around me find me boring, predictable, and traumatically old-fashioned.

I would love to have a crocodile as a pet, but since that is (I assume) illegal and probably very risky, I settled for succulents and a cat. One can endure a lot of neglect and still thrive; the other ignores me while thriving. I doubt a croc would be as forgiving.

What do I plan to do on this platform?

Entertain, appreciate, and give my time to others equally.
I don't like modern social media networks or what they have become lately. Social media should be a relaxing pastime, not a taxing exercise in self-censorship. I’ve never had an issue expressing myself, but finding a place with genuine interaction has become an irritating search.

Most platforms today are shadows of previous ideas that never had a real chance. Today's versions are gamified smokescreens for ideologies or influencers. I became fed up with the remarkably familiar AI slop, unremarkable arguments I've heard a million times, and my inability to follow bland conversations, show genuine interest, or find the strength to participate in any of it.
I think I need new hobbies, new places - something I can do without the feeling of brain rot creeping inside my skull or the perpetual contest mentality that deteriorates every experience.

How do I like it so far here? I will tell you all about it in a week.

Do I have any plans for the future? I have achieved mostly everything on my list so far, so I think I will continue in that direction.
I am looking forward to whatever this experience brings me.

Cheers

I will try to go slow. Thank you for RC.

add; I delegated a bit of RC to you so you can interact a bit more while being here.

MinDig, I really liked your line about being “always respect,” and the way you described ending up here by accident, with the lost passwords and a not-so-honest invite — it made the intro feel very real. Your mix of tech, finance, sales, and your quieter interests like cooking, books, and coding sounds like a thoughtful fit for Hive, especially if you want to share both practical and personal pieces. If you plan to keep writing regularly, hivestats.io could be handy for tracking your account growth, and hivepro.ai might help when you want to turn those scattered ideas into polished posts. What kind of topics do you think you’ll start with first — tech, finance, or maybe something from your everyday life?

Thanks to your maker. I plan to stick to everyday life for now.
