RE: Be Humble

in #introspection2 days ago

Being humble isn't something that you are born with or not... It's something that you learn through life, from your mistakes and experience, but also from your closest family and friends... Also, I remember when I was young, there were some "children's shows" on TV where we were taught about human values, things like being humble, respectful, etc. Maybe it was some kind of brainwashing, but I didn't perceive it like that...

Nowadays, I don't see anything similar in any media... Whenever you look, you see narcissistic, arrogant, egoistic influencers jumping on camera, selling you stuff...

We need to make a huge U-turn and begin building strong family bonds and connections, "investing" in children, as they are those who can create a better future for all humanity...

Yeah, I think people aren't taught to be humble, they learn it. Actually schools and some places teaches kids value and I think it's part of the syllabus, and because it's expected of them. Even as at this, some kids ends up arrogant and still never really key into those values they're being taught.

While I think people can learn from being taught, some of the hardest realities of life that are humbling are mostly experienced.

You're right about investing in good values, I think when people invest in good basic values then it reflects in their lives and families
