Would you like to have the same advantage Congress does?

Do you know that the insider trading laws that apply to "normal" citizens don't apply to "our Representatives"?
That did change a bit when the cat got out of the bag...

It has been reported in the media how many if not most departing Congress members have a significantly higher net worth than when they arrived.

When the word got out that these political elite could invest their own money based on what was considered insider information things changed. They now have to release all of their transactions to remain transparent.

How many average citizens realize this? The details are below....
Main "House" site: http://www.house.gov/
The Financial Disclosure link: http://clerk.house.gov/public_disc/financial.aspx

What are Financial Disclosure Reports?
"Financial Disclosure Reports include information about the source, type, amount, or value of the incomes of Members, officers, certain employees of the U.S. House of Representatives and related offices, and candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives. These reports are filed with the Clerk of the House as required by Title I of the Ethics in Government Act of 1978, as amended. 5 U.S.C. app. 4 § 101 et seq. Section 8 of the STOCK Act of 2012, as amended, requires the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide online public access to financial disclosure reports filed by Members of Congress and candidates for Congress."

If you go back to fall 2015 and look for transactions with a "P" meaning purchase you will see most of the transactions are significantly higher. Yes, the market has been in an uptrend.

For those steemers who are looking to improve their 401K / IRA performance, monitoring these transactions might be a good way to inform and consult with their financial advisors.

NOTE: It is unlawful to use or display these reports in any commercial way. It is required for them to make their transactions public. That doesn't mean the public can use their records in a commercial way. Anyone commenting on these posts should use discretion including screenshots. I wanted to use screenshots because some of the data is eye opening!! But, I didn't....

I am not an investment advisor in any capacity. Normal disclaimers apply. More than likely these Congress members suffer losses just like any other investor / speculator.
