The market recorded an unbelievable growth in the last year, it peaked slightly above the $620Billion mark well above its previous year's peak of $17.8Billion. The market grew by a breathe taking 3,327.76% in the last 365days gaining over $594Billion to close (GMT+11) at $612.78Billion, and market volume grew by 22,902% from $123Million traded 365 days ago. While in the last 24Hr the market grew by a strong 6.35% gaining $36.58Billion and volume traded was $28.29Billion a 16.63% decrease from the previous day. A total of 1374 cryptocurrencies and 7478 market pairs were traded. Bitcoin's market dominance decreased from 87.36% to 37.90% of the total market cap in the last 365days.

In course of the year 2017, our biggest gainer was XLM gaining a massive 46,735%, it opened the year at No.12. BCH, ADA, IOTA, NEM, and XLM didn't start the year in the top 10, while XMR, ETC, MAID, REP, and STEEM dropped off in the course of the year. Bitcoin grew by 1,398% peaking at about $20,000 and a peak market cap of $326Billion. The top Ten cryptos combined market cap grew by 2,835% from $17.1Billion in 365days and 5.31% in the last 24HRS to close at $504.067Billion, while OTHERS also grew by 15,255% from $708Million in the last 365 days and 11.42% in the last 24HRS to close at $104.7Billion.

I wish I could predict the next 1,000,000% or 100,000% coin, but that will be hard because there are some many potential coins. However, I have learnt a valuable lesson “Do your research, invest and HODL”. Let's hear your predictions for the year and any lessons learnt from 2017.
