There have been many golf social events at hotels and golf clubs around Ireland and as a result prominent members of society have been shamed for being hypocritical. On one hand they ask other people to avoid social gatherings but go to the gatherings themselves. When somebody ends up infected the situation gets more intense as there is public pressure on politicians or public broadcasters involved to resign.
Most recently 10 people who work on ambulance teams in northern Ireland got covid at a golf event. What were they thinking especially as front line staff? They should be able to relax but definitely should know better.
