Anomalies are Not Necessarily Criminals; IT Traps of the Future

in #it7 years ago

With our new Super Computers we can find anomalies in databases from multiple sources very quickly and this can help us monitor our society. Information Technologies have come a long way in helping us streamline our systems of civilization. And of course our over all society wins through such increases in efficiency.

Unfortunately, one problem I foresee in the future is that our computer systems will spot anomalies and red flag them as problems; anomalies, which just happen to be real people. But simply the fact that an anomaly is discovered does not mean that it is necessarily a criminal and this is one possible trap of our currently IT technologies and its use in law enforcement. Often, law enforcement agencies, caseworkers and even detectives think that when something looks out of place that there is criminal intent behind it.

Anomalies are not necessarily criminals and sometimes these anomalies are indeed opportunities or people who can really help all we are and all we have built. We should be using the Super Computers not only to find evil sneaky bad guys, but also the best and brightest amongst us as well you see. If not we might fall into an IT traps in the Future, which could cast problems on individual standouts or anomalies that we need to propel our society and civilization.

This is why absolute control over the data should not necessarily be trusted to humans and once an anomaly is discovered and checked out as good versus evil, it should be duly noted and that person should be contacted to help our over all civilization, as we need them, so consider all this in 2018
