MARBLE FACE
Hello dear friends,
This is my marble face that I created for my father's birthday.
My sculpture is actually very small, as you can see in the picture below.
VISO IN MARMO
Ciao cari amici,
questo è il mio viso in marmo che ho creato per il compleanno di mio padre.
La mia sculturina è in realtà molto piccola, come potete vedere nella fotografia sottostante.
Normally I like more to create big works, but for transport and space issues it is not always possible: -))
I wanted the result to be soft, and the face to have a sweet expression, like someone who is listening to you.....
The traits are rather feminine but may also be of a young boy.
Normalmente mi piace di più creare opere grandi ma per questioni di trasporto e spazio non è sempre possibile :-))
Ho voluto che il risultasso fosse morbido, e che il viso avesse un espressione dolce, come di qualcuno che ti sta ascoltando....
I tratti sono piuttosto femminili ma potrebbero anche essere di un giovane ragazzo.
Because of its small size, the processing was mainly based on the use of files and sandpaper, being too small to carve it with the chisel and hammer.
Now he has found his place next to the window, and when the sun enters, which putrope is not there today, it shines a lot!

A causa della piccola taglia la lavorazione si è basata principalmente sull'utilizzo di lime e carta vetrata, essendo troppo minuta per scolpirla con lo scalpello e il martello.
Ora ha trovato il suo posto accanto la finestra, e quando entra il sole, che putroppo oggi non c'è, brilla tantissimo!
Qui vedete meglio la pietra da grezza.

This is precious - small palm-sized sculptures are exactly what nomadic tribes used to produce, for amulets for example. This goes back to the Venus of Willendorf some 25.000 years ago.

Bella, sai che mi piace disegnare dipingere scrivere ecc, ma in effetti non ho mai lavorato della materia (una volta facevo dei lavori su delle lastre di ferro a dire il vero, comunque mai il marmo). E tra l'altro non riesco a figurarmi cosa intendi per lavorarlo con delle lime.

Per lavorare il gesso , il legno, il metallo, la pietra, ecc. ci vogliono differenti lime, di differenti forme.
Servono a limare le imperfezioni, definire i dettagli, creare delle strutture e anche a formare :-D
Wow, non ho idea di quanto sia difficile modellare il marmo ma mi piace!
No, è un lavorino di pazienza ma si può imparare :-D
Bellissimo, poi in quelle dimensioni...
