Superstar Janet Jackson kicked off her State of the World tour last night in one of the areas that was just hit by Hurricane Harvey. Before she did her first concert, she stopped at one of the shelters to visit some of the victims of the major storm.
Janet plans to donate the money that she makes from the ticket sales on Saturday to the victims in the Houston area. When she took the stage last night, she was in good form. Concert-goers talked about how good and young she looked for a 51-year-old who had just given birth to a baby boy less than a year ago.
I saw some of the footage of her performances, and it looks like she has still got what it takes to get the crowd moving. And she is also proving that she is not too old to get it done.
