We live in Panama about an hour from the border. We have seen the immigrants coming through and being shipped on their way to the US. We saw it about 2.5 years ago with a group of Haitians as we were crossing the border into Costa Rica. I know it is still happening because a friend went last weekend to the migration camp not too far from the border to help pass out clothes to the people there. It has been going on for a while, as we moved here 5 years ago, and I know people who lived here before us were also visiting Haitian refugees at the border who were being shipped up to the US.
