🇯🇵 Ninja Akasaka Restaurant in Tokyo, Japan - in depth review [Original Content]

Join us to this awesome Ninja themed restaurant in Japan!

The entrance to the restaurant looked already very mysterious.

Right at the entrance we were surprised and greeted by our personal Ninja and he led us through a dark corridor which was like a maze. There was a broken bridge we had to fix with our Ninja spirit and all was pretty exciting.

Inside the restaurant it felt like we were in a misty, hidden Ninja town, hundreds of years ago.

It looked like all the guests had their private room, it didn’t matter if you were a group of 2 or 8. There were different sizes of rooms available.

We chose the 10 course Hanzou set menu for 10.000 Yen, which was around 100 US dollars.

Some of the items on the menu depended on the season.

First were the shuriken star-blades grissini. They came with a liver pate which was delicious.

Second was the white fish with tomato seviche, which was tasty as well! The tomato was very juicy and well seasoned.

Third was turban shell bombs with garlic butter. Sooo yummy. The butter was perfect crunchy with a little peanut.

Fourth was treasure chest of the season. In the treasure chest (with smoke 😄) it looked like there was an egg, but it was actually vegetables in gelatine, which you then put on the salad. The salad dressing was fantastic.

Fifth was the soup of the day. Honestly forgot what this was 😅. But it was black with a clear soup.

Sixth way special of the day. This was potato frikkadel and it was tasty too.

Seventh was sorbet candy in flavors of the season. Very refreshing before the main course.

8th and main course was either the Japanese beef steak or ninja-style roast lamb. Both were truly amazing and melted in your mouth!!!

Ninth was the sushi of the season with miso soup

Last but not least we had the dessert delights and fruit of the season. We got 2 different desserts; a bonzai tree with chocolate cake base and a cheesecake frog. Both were very tasty. Evene the fruits were very sweet too, especially their melon.

This whole experience lasted for about 2.5 hours at a good pace, maybe a little fast between the courses. But we didn’t mind. Perhaps if you calculate 3 hours for the 10 course it would be more relaxed (you have to reserve the duration yourself in advance and we entered 2.5 hours ourselves).

The courses were more on the creative side, so we understand that there may be some negative reviews by other people on Tripadvisor, as this kind of food is not for everyone.

All in all we do recommend you to visit this place while in Japan. They have also cheaper and more expensive course sets and also a la carte.

Let us know what you think of this restaurant. Have you been there and how did you like it?

Love,
Shinifer & Dani

Nice fancy posh japanese restaurant, doesn't seem like the kind I would enter though, price wise.

I am just really curious about the [Original Content] tag in your title, is it really necessary here ? Is it because Steemit is really just populated with cut-and-paste that people generally doesn't expect otherwise ?

I may consider including the tag into my title in the future too.

We just noticed that there are soooo many copy paste posters in here...sadly! So we thought perhaps this may help to stand out a bit for people who would like to read original content. Still figuring out though how to post on Steemit :)

absolutely amazing. The skill required to make such things must be tremendous.
