Old Edited Stamps by Japanese During Occupation in Indonesia

in #japanese6 years ago (edited)

Hi guys, when I was visiting 10 November Museum in Surabaya, I saw several unique stuff such as old stamp.

During the occupation of Japan in Indonesia, there was a reshuffle in all aspects of Indonesia, one of them by changing the postage stamp became the Netherlands Japan. However the change is not directly applied, there are several stages performed due to the abundance of Netherlands stamps supplies. Postage stamp of Netherlands is still used, but with suppress or adding Japanese words inside. Print the overlay contains the words "Dai Nippos Yubin Kyoku".
