【Abalone Festival 鮑祭】is held in Wajima city in NOTO peninsula now. This event sounds delicious. We grilled abalones by charcoal. Those abalones were caught by professional female divers. Locally, they are called “Ama 海女-san”.
They looked majestic underwater like mermaids do, because they don't use diving masks and oxygen tanks.
